Travelers should seek out independent stands and family-run loncherías to experience the true culinary heritage of the region.
Use the R-1 or R-2 bus from the Hotel Zone into El Centro, then taxi short hops between Mercado 23, Parque de las Palapas, and SM 27 if walking feels exposed in the heat.
