Conditori La Glace was founded on 8 October 1870 by confectioner Nicolaus Henningsen and has been run by six generations at Skoubogade 3 — making it Denmark's oldest continuously operating konditori. The signature celebration cake is the Sportskage; for afternoon wienerbrød, the flødekager (puff pastry with cream and seasonal fruit) is the piece to order; formal table service means no queue, though weekend afternoons are the busiest window.
